I would like 90x40x2.4 ideally to save weight and keep clearance good....unfortunately that size box doesn't exist

Back to the bodywork The virtual lift will actually clear 35s with a bit of lift. However I've decided to buy some 33x10.50s for everyday use.
Started with the rear, just taking my time to get everything tacked up with no movement ot tension in the wings, should help reduce any warping, well I don’t want any so I will be taking it slow with the welding. The first stages of the other side And that was all last nights work.

Re: Lwb daily drive and laner build
Ran out of gas working on the rear arches but have most of the work done on them now.
Now the challenging bit starts, the worst of the rust was on the rear cross member, I decided this was more important than the camping trailer so I stole the front off the camping trailer as the rear cross member I used for that was actually pretty good.
A bit more fettling to get it all trimmed and lined up perfectly and i'll start welding it in.

Re: Lwb daily drive and laner build
It's so nice to actually be working on my own stuff finally.
Re: Lwb daily drive and laner build
Nice work! Coming along nicely.
What is the copper/bronze coloured stuff? Some sort of anti corrosion preventative?
