Re: gti engine
Why bother try running the bog standard 1.3 at 70 mph then you will Know what noise is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It' a 4x4 why not drive it across a field
Re: gti engine
I dont wana P on your parade, but will it be going on the road? 17yr old + GTI = £££££££££ add the fact that its a GTI going into a different vehicle, what they will charge you they should pull your trousers up after!!
I wont go into the offorading aspect as you probably know!
Rhino Ray does a 'dizzy mod' for fitting a suzuki swift GTI engine, show enough interest and he may go through some of the other things to overcome when fitting the engine!

the mk 1 swift gti head bolts staight to the sj413 block with no real problems im thinking about doing the coversion just need the head, loom and ecu as i have a set of hyabusa throttle bodies which im gonna slap on too just wondering if the gearbox and transfer box would be able to handle the extra oomph camden superchargers are bringing a supercharger kit out too for the samurai that should be intresting.

As for a 17 yr old insuring a GTI powered SJ, no offence mate but your either gonna have to be loaded or just be a little loopy! lets just say i was 23 when i passed my test and 3rd party fire and theft on a 410 with 2" lift, a roll cage and 31s was £860!
