Hi
I am pretty new to all this just sold my mr2 mk1 after 9 years fancied a change so here I am
got myself a 56 plate jimny its a great little 4x4 lots of fun
so watch this space and be ready for questions
I am in the Manchester area if anyone could point me in the direction of a local club or group

Heya, welcome to the club!

Don't know of any clubs up your way, I'm not a local. Anyhow, pix when you can, we loves pix around here!

started to buy bits
looking for a set of 205/70/15 all terrain tyres on steel rims
2" lift kit
adjustable heavy duty bars
I am looking for a nudge bar but if a front steel bumper comes up
also looking for ideas so if you have any give me a shout

Nice Jimny! Does it need a lift kit with the tyres you want to run, though?

Looks good, need to ditch those wheel trims I think.
I would say keep it simple, Jimnys seem to become a pita after modification, or is that just mine? :er:

Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

went for 195/70/15 in the end looks well on alloys at the mo
not sure about lift kit it seems to have gone higher just changing wheels and tyres
will try off road and if it needs it will lift

There pretty good at standard height, i chucked some 215/75/15 AT tyres on mine and they don't touch the arches, and lift it a little.

As Scottie will say, a suspension lift won't do anything for you, you will still ground out etc until you buy big tyres!
