Sounds like it could be, get under and have a play....
Had one go on the 90, and boy did that clunk!

I would whip the prop off to check it, If a UJ has gone dry, chances are that you wont be able to tell the the prop still fitted.
If not it could be a wheel bearing that has suddenly failed?

with rear sj wheel bearings never presume they are ok

with large tyres like ours they can go from good to bad in days!
I check mine every week or two as I'm lucky to get 6 months use out of one!

Does sound pretty much like was i had....originally though it were my rear prop uj as it was a bit nackered to say the least.....got that fixed...still had noises fer bout a week(nowhere near as bad though) and my rear bearing failed on my drive home!....so like scottie said.....its worth checking mate
