I scanned my last post about this..now I have a second Vitara and still can not find a site that decodes UK Suzuki VIN numbers correctly...Not sure if I missed a post about this .
I now have two Suzukis
VSE ETV 01C 0120XXXX
JSA ETA 01V 0012XXXX
removed the last digits for security
Also my Old Landcruiser
JT1 W0HJ60 00953XXX
Now what ever VIN decoder I try, they all say the year code is invalid.
What is going on here? any one know
Cheers
Neil
Another VIN Question
Re: Another VIN Question
Most of those sites only work on products of the big US manufacturers. The VIN specification doesn't actually define a year code and Suzuki doesn't use one.
The Suzuki Parts Database decodes the VIN but doesn't give a year of manufacture and some JDM and Spanish models aren't recognised..
