Re: Spotted!
Brilliant, I check the link but this film wasn't listed, isn't it good that so many SJ's made it onto the big screen?

Re: Spotted!
On the corner of Strada Alexandru Papiu Ilarian and Strada Borzești in Târgu Mureș, Romania, saw this Jimny on Simex's:
Been in Romania for a little while now (more blood tests tomorrow, then flying back to blighty tomorrow night) and I've seen a fair few SJ's, Vits and Jimny's. This place isn't what you'd expect - it's gorgeous here and the standard of living is probably slightly higher than in the UK. Everyone lives in (dirt cheap) lovely little villas, and they drive the same cars we do (marginally fewer Beemers, Mercs and Audi's on the road, lots more Renaults pretending to be Dacia's).
I've seen the odd old Soviet era Dacia and the odd old Lada (there's a cool Niva running around on Simex clones) but mostly it's the exact same cars we drive, most of them relatively new (roughly the same mix of old and new you see in the UK).

Re: Spotted!
So, sometimes on my way home from work I pass a house with an SJ on its drive, the house is set back from the road and it's on a route a rarely travel, so when I noticed it a month or so ago, I was disappointed that I hadn't seen it earlier.
Fast forward to today, I decided to call in and see if I could have a chat to the owner. Unfortunatley the owner was out, but I thought I'd take a few photos as I passed anyway,
It certainly looks like it's been there a while, it Was pretty much being used as a shed,
I'm going to call in again one day, & if the owners not in I'll leave a note,

Re: Spotted!
Ha, the thing is, I don't actually want another zook! The one I've got is plenty enough for me, but I'd hate to see it end up getting scrapped or parted out, also if the owner was going to part with it for a pittance, it would be better on my driveway than where it is! If he doesn't want to sell it maybe it will bring him to the forum and perhaps he will get some enthusiasm. If he does want to sell it and he wants more than I'd like to pay at least I can advertise it on here for him. TBH it is the type of SJ I wouldn't usually look at (with a view to buying), but it is fairly local and it is a zook!
