Hi everyone,
I came across your great forum during some parts searching on Europe based web pages
I drive a 1985 Samurai and have been searching all over for a soft top. My zuk is a long body so they were only sold in Canada for 3 years and not in the US so there is nothing available at all. It seems you guys got your fair share of long bodys so I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction to find one new/used. At this point I am even considering buying a hard top and shipping it over if it was at all affordable. Anyways here is my zuk
It's a 1985 with link suspension, toyota diffs and a 2002 VW tdi engine. I run a toyota 5 speed transmission and dual toyota tcases

I can get long wheelbase soft tops here in Malta brand new, will get a price if you like.
But Im not sure I can get all the metal bars that hold it up.... just the soft top part.
I will check though

They are the same style as this, with the raised rear section. Gives enough headroom for the sideways rear seats.
They are currently 200eur (295cad) without the support bars. Just spoke to the guy and he currently has them in grey, but not black.
He is going to get the cost of the supporting bars later when he is at the shop
If you were interested I'm sure we could arrange shipping somehow

Friendly lot here, love that long wheel base! I've always wanted a LWB SJ, but I love my SWB too much to get rid of it so I could have a LWB (or a Jimny that I keep talking about).
But there's something very cool about LWB's!

Thanks guys and thanks for the offer twiss. I am not a huge fan of that style of top but if I can't find anything else I might have to go that route.
I did see one of these on ebay as well

We've chatted a few times on pirate4x4 in the past.
Love your Zuki! The original style Lwb soft tops are quite hard to find.

I can remember someone getting one sewed to order on difflock.com............
Here is the thread
http://forum.difflock.com/viewtopic.php ... b+soft+top
I don't know if the woman still makes them but it may be worth emailing her? I know it's an old thread - 9 years Old, but you never know!
Thanks
