Kinda interesting idea, could be probably disassembled without damaging permanently the differential but will it last?

I'd have thought it would be a bit soft, being lead. Then again, it's basically just a massive lump of it - so it might be fine.

I'd have thought using aluminium would be a better option though - less toxic, stronger, lighter, and to get ali you just melt lots of empty drinks cans.
