Good evening,

Make sure all the adjusters are free and get the MOT man to do it.
With minor things like that all the MOT places i've used have been spot on.

Re: How to line Head light s up for mot
My MOT man is pretty good, but he failed me on a headlight a few years ago (amongst other things). At first I was annoyed he didn't adjust it for me, but then I found that all the adjusters were siezed up, so I couldn't really blame him.
One side was fine, so I lined the SJ up against a wall and put the headlights on, then adjusted the one that was wrong until it matched the one that was right, and it passed.
I think the driver's side is supposed to throw light differently to the passenger side, so perhaps once I got the adjustment screws free, he adjusted it properly?
Anyhow, it's legal now. Which is what really matters, eh?
On the subject, if you fancy upgrading your lights, don't:

Get all new lamps, don't just fit an HID bulb kit. The rozzers are supposed to do you for it if they catch you. I may just do a Twiss and fit higher output bulbs...

My adjusters are all rusted up... so I went to the MOT station, put it in front of the light tester and hit the mounting plate with a hammer until it lined up
It amused the MOT tester at least

Re: How to line Head light s up for mot
I've put new units in, just to upgrade and have side lights in there as well.
I got the adjustment screws out and cleaned the nuts up and replaced the screws with stainless ones, so it will be fine for them to do. Easier than messing about trying to find some where to set them up myself. Lol
Bet the guys face was a picture twiss lol
