homemade gasket

Hi guys what would be the best stuff to make a carb gasket out of ??? cork ? paper? or liquide gasket? any help would be great

No sorry im in southampton . there is a company called totton motor factors they are very good and have got any thing i have needed so far the boke i deal with even drives a sj i may just try there .

its just n the side of the carb there is a small hole that the gasket dosnt cover ?? is it ment to be like that?? its the asian carb on a sj410 santana :roll:

I've used a cereal box before and it worked a treat, in fact it's still inbetween the carb and inlet manifold nearly a year later :mrgreen:

Yer a cereal box is good to use, ive done that to my free wheeling hub

Gasket paper from all good motor factors that do various thickness paper.

ok thanks guys will give it a go and see if it makes any differance
if its not that then it will be the carb ......dose anyone have one ..set up if pos :lol:
