Weight of Samuari Rear Axle Housing

Post by Echobeach » Sun Jun 07, 2015 9:15 pm

Does anyone know the weight of a rear axle housing for a samuari. I need to ship one from Surrey to Cornwall and have been told 80kgs but am finding it hard to find a courier so just want to check it is correct. If anyone has any tips for transport I'd be grateful. Thanks.

I actually have a bare one in my shed but no way of weighing it. Can easily pick it up one handed though and I've never been to a gym in my life!

If it's fully built up with all the internals and brakes it's probably around 80kg but a bare axle case is pretty light. I'll try to pull one out to weigh it later.

Thanks Scottie. Does that mean you have one spare? You wouldn't want to sell one would you? Have asked the guy in Surrey if he is prepared to strip the axle down but will have to wait for a response tomorrow.
