de-rusting!

Post by albertross74 » Tue Jun 22, 2010 7:02 pm

Just started getting rid of the rust on my anus yesterday, filled the patch on the bonnet, and have just primed it, but I am wondering where I can find the code for my silver paint? and where I can buy it from?

cheers

The paint code will be on the vin plate it's usually either in the drivers footwell or the passenger wing behind the jack. It's a short mix of numbers and letters.

Cant remember 100% which one exactly, not sure if it actually says something like colour - JH10

Hope thats useful
Jordi

P.S. Depending on what the current paint work is like, if your not painting all of it it may be worth getting it colour matched. Due to the paint ageing / fading. You may find the new paint a slightly different shade.

ah cheers mate, J8J.

and that is a good point about the aging of the paint as it is 22 years old now! Thankfully I have a choice of three people I know who work in separate body shops!
