Yeah, they are indeed, direct from ebay, I've quite fancied a square front one for a while, I do like these pressed plates, but the only thing with them is they are still quite soft and easily bent, previously (on motor bikes) I've made mild steel plates the same size to support the number plate, and Its what I'll do again, (as neither plate sits flush to body work,

No they probably aren't legal...

Firstly they legally need to be made from a reflective material. Can't really tell from the picture if the paint is in any way reflective but I assume not...
Secondly the number plates need to come from a registered supplier and must display the suppliers name and postcode on the plate

I have at least 2 friends who got done for using plates without the supplier's information on them.
Its a small annoying thing to get done for but some policemen are wankers like that!

Just say you got them before it was mandatory to have supplier info on them

They introduced that in 2001 so make it look 14 years old haha

Yes reflective, the rear has makers postcode and standard,

Disappointingly, the front doesn't - I thought it did!

As for the retro reflective (which bothers most new cars) not a problem as said, pre 2001, when it left the factory it wouldnt have had a retroreflective so not required,

So legal on the back, but not the front, I have to say I'm a little disappointed about the front,

Its not that much of a big deal tbh... the rear one a copper could spot if they were following you but very unlikely they will catch on with the front one... unless they have already pulled you over and are really desperate for ammo.
All my number plates used to be £5 ebay specials... your front looks nice its just not quite legit ;)

Get some Letraset and make a logo for the number plate then zap it with lacquer so it doesn't flake off. I've done that!
