Sorry mike I don't like arguing but your ignorance is getting annoying. You don't want to run an anti wrap bar then that's cool, but don't argue against logic with "I've never had a problem". Its fine you don't see that you get axle wrap, but when people want pros and cons regarding an issue, if you can't construct a logical reason you don't need one, then leave it be.
Everyone gets axle wrap. You get axle wrap.

Ahh that's it. I was racking my brain trying to remember one of the vehicles they came on as standard.

I've had great experiences with my anti wrap bar and would very much recommend one. Even with YJs (that I purchased new!), on a SPOA setup, wrap is an issue on the road. The rear end now feels more controlled/planted under acceleration, and should all help increase the life of the springs.

Matt - that looks a lot like the anti wrap bar that I have. In my head.
How well does it work without the shackle? I don't fully understand the need for the shackle, I was thinking of building a setup that doesn't have one.
But I should probably find out why people that have awb's have shackles/don't have shackles before deciding that!

Works very well Anton, but are you referring to the shackle in this design? This is very different to mine, and slightly more complex.

Anton as the springs flex the position of the axle changes, during compression the spring flattens the axle moves backwards slightly, further away from the chassis mount. During droop the spring arches more and the axle moves forwards. This is why a lot of people fit the shackle design to allow for this movement.
With the bam bar design you can get away without a shackle as long as you get the geometry of the upper link correct, I.e. The angle and length. otherwise it could actually force the axle to rotate slightly during flex, I.e force the pinion to tilt down during droop.
Adam did a mix of both designs so that axle wrap was limited instead of being completely stopped.
