starter solenoid question (SJ413)

Post by djc » Sun Feb 22, 2015 4:58 pm

I've suddenly got an intermittent - sometimes the solenoid clicks but doesn't kick in, next attempt it does. I'm assuming this is the actual solenoid sticking, beginning to fail? Battery v good, when motor does turn there's plenty of power to turn engine over, which fires almost immediately.
Assuming solenoid, anywhere recommended to get one as all I can find is complete starter motors, and mine's fine.

Had the same problem with mine last year. Brought a new one here http://www.vehicleelectricsshop.co.uk/p ... _Solenoids
Can't remember which one though, just try to get the number from the starter ;)

Brilliant Darrell, thanks. I'll get down there tomorrow and check to try and ID mine, but probably the same - good source, thanks for help.
