Insurance quotes

Post by Jordi » Wed May 05, 2010 8:14 pm

So its getting to the point where i need insurance. Wondering what this is like compared to everyone else.

Third party, fire and theft. Greenlaning and funday cover. Based on a 24 year old driver. No no claims as its a new policy. £290 with Adrian Flux.

Hows that compare.

Cheers

HAHAHA! When I did a quote for me at 17 after passing my test the cheapest I got was with Norwich Union.

£2.8k much?
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

In that case i'll rub it in. Thats all mods declared too.

1st car was a volvo 480. 1.7, 110bhp. 130mph £500 a year
3rd car was also volvo 850 T5-R. 250bhp. Limited to 155mph. That was under £1k. Got that when i was 20 i think. Subaru imprezza. Bah!

Once my Zukz done i may got for another 850 turbo. Cos thy are mental. Or even an old rear drive volvo turbo. Theres a clip on u tube of a volvo 142 turbo chop top. Its insane.

I cnt believe how much insurance for new drivers has gone up. My wifes sister is 17 and the cheapest quote i tuink she got was over 1100 and thats on the basic 1ltr corsa kinda cars.

You really need to shop around. Bell direct used to be quite cheap for new drivers.

You can't beat 'Go Compare'! They'll check loads of insurers for you and give you a big list! My cheapest quote was with Marks&Spencer... £225 Third party, fire and theft! But then I am nearly 28, only 3 years no claims though!

£290 is reasonable and adrian flux are pretty good, I think i paid around £400 last time i insured my suzi (22 3yrs ncb) in fact it costs me more now to insure a smart car than it did to insure my suzuki!

try 2gether and highways. I have always found them to be cheap for modded 4x4s.
