Anton, bcause the car was poorly converted from a carburettor to a EFI engine there is no EVAP canister so the vent host from the tank goes nowhere but this odor problem only recently started after months of driving, I suspect the o2 sensor may be sending a wrong signal to the ECU so I need to know ...

Fuel odour
Also, - there is a strong odor of fuel at the back of my car. - I have changed the fuel tank, the h oses, and the tank cover. - there are no leaks but the odour remains strong and this only happens when the engine is off. - any ideas??
