Re: Fog light switch- MOT

I just earthed the switch (green and black wire)?. Don't know what has been changed from the original but now it all works and so does the switch light. It does however come on even if the side lights arn't on.

Steering box greasing

Hi All I'm in that place, you know ,that weird 10 days between MOT fail and retest :S . I have just taken up the slack in the steering box and thought about greasing it. Fog light switch- MOT

Hi All
Just sorting some MOT fail niggles. The fog light didn't work, nor did the switch light up. Now the fog light works but the switch won't. Can it only be the little bulb inside, or could there be any other reason? Thanks

Re: SJ 410 tin top rear seat belts

Put a pair of SJ front 3 point inertia belts in the back of mine yesterday. Spool half way up, pivot above that (as in pictures above). End of belt fitted to prethreaded hole about 2" away from rear body mount. Mine had had a plate welded in the rear corner covering the hole but the captive nut...

Re: SJ 410 tin top rear seat belts

I was going to ask the exact same question! I have two young uns and a tin top with bench seat and was wondering about rear 3 point belts. There are definately bolt holes up the rear corners for belts and to me they look like a pair of front inertia belts will fit straight on. Will let you know!

Re: why has he done this

To get enough width to cover the tyre tread?
To get enough plastic to cover the rust :!:
