Re: tyre pressures
I've been running no more than 20psi in any of my samurai with no problems. My fuel usage might be a little higher at 20 but I find the ride at 28 too hard. I've had 10psi in my LJ for the last 2 years and had no problems. It doesn't see too much road.

Re: OIL IN THE AIR BOX
change the PCV valve.....when it goes it will let the pressure build in your engine and cause the problem you have. In my zuke the valve went bad and the engine started to smoke...real bad. as soon as I changed the valve most of the smoke went away.

that is crazy....I once drove in a samurai with the 302 V8 and before he hit the gas he told me that if I managed to touch the dash before he got past the truck he would give me the samurai....when he hit the gas there was no touching the dash. It shoved me back so hard. He hit about 60mph in a very...

I use a piece of pipe just big enough to slide the axel shaft into, lots of penetrating oil and I just drop the axel in the pipe.....well throw it actually. I've never had one not let go. When I did my front disc swap on my LJ, I had to swap the dirfs for some from a 410. You have to seperate 2 LJ a...

Re: help!!!....overheating!!
mine run about a 1/4 at slow speed and go to half on the highway. Check the fan clutch. If it's worn it will not turn at full speed and cause a lack of cooling.

I run 512's in mine on the 31's and it's pretty low for the terrain I drive....It would easily take 33's. We don't do rocks around here so the stress is not as bad on the axels. I run a set of 30 BFG's on the Lj and they are great all around...awesome in the snow too.
