Hi guys, i'm from Portugal and last October i bought this Suzuki Samurai.
I've had some 4x4 (Patrol, Discovery, Terrano) but this "micro" machine is blowing my mind

New exhaust setup
About the Pink&Green thing,well it was already like that when i bought it and the seller said that it was a "special edition", so i decided to keep it (it doesn't bothers me anymore and i kinda like the fact of being unique).
Next Step:
The original seats were fuckin uncomfy so my dad and I decided to change them for some Mercedes CLK seats. It was a day & night change:
We also wanted to buy an Hardtop & make the conversion.

1- Would you guys get one SD for the stock mounts (OME) or get one like Rough Country with the mounting brackets (i've heard that they have a better feeling and work better in this second place)?
2- Here in Portugal YJ leafs are hard to find, when i mean hard, i really mean it they're almost impossible to find
Plus yj conversion kit with the shipping costs + taxes can get to about 320€.
What would you guys do? Rear springs up front (RUF) or yj conversion that can cost about 500€?
I know that they aren't the same but i can get some rear coils for 75€ and put them right away.
Also i'm running SPUA and pretend to continue that way.
Any answers will be appreciated

Nice SJ I've never seen anyone make bolt on spring hangers to lift the suspension like that with longer shackles, looks like a cheap way to get some lift and much better than just fitting longer shackles.
I would personally get an aftermarket steering damper and make your own mounts so it's tucked up high out of the way, mine is attached to the pitman arm like the standard one but I made a new mount on the chassis rail.
YJs are an awesome improvement to the stock ride and flex, however you could use toyota hi lux springs as some of them are very similar dimensions to YJ springs.
Another option is to buy some nice 2" lift springs/YJs/CJ springs to run on the rear and then do ruf.

Yeah, it's better than only longer shackles and it doesn't cost much

I tought that the SD that RC sells was on that position (ubolt mounting brackets) on purpose so it provides a better lecture of the ground/work better. Am I wrong?
And could you post a better picture of your mounts?

Just thought I would add... the vitaras (as far as i can remember) have a seperate bracket for the steering damper, that bolts through the chassis.
One of my mates has welded the vit bracket straight onto the SJ chassis and it seems to work pretty well as a damper mount so I may do that...
