still in need of a bl***y windscreen

Post by liljitjit » Sun Aug 02, 2009 5:23 pm

i driven 250 mile round trip today to buy a windscreen from andyrew in bedfordshire all was well
nice guy also got some doors for a bargain( gonna half em for summer !got back home all still well had lunch then started to get ready to remove windscreen from the surround thought about cutting the rubber but decided against that wish i had now i started to peel the rubber from round the screen and pop a dirty great crack appeared . B*LLX .there was a small chip in the screen that i didnt see and it blew from there, so if any one has a screen i still need one .
not a happy man ,still its only a hobby!

dont feel bad mate, we had a volvo 360 gls that belonged to my dad and both my mum and myself learnt to drive in it 1982 y reg, like a tank.It failed mot on bad glass so being on a tight budget me and dad will fit it ourselves! We went through 4 screens before we managed to get one in in that bloody old thing ! We broke one fitting it some one broke one before we arrived at the yard broke another re fitting etc so this isnt a new experience for me.I may take you up on your offer when the time comes though ,

thanks again and dont feel bad it happens from time to time ,
life does funny things puts you up then drops you like a sack of sh1t! lol
