Well where do I start.
Right ill start by saying I know nothing about mechanics so thought this challenge would suit me as im an engineer and I could quickly learn.
I bought my sj 413 75% complete. paid cash whilst I worked away dint even see it got it trailed to my gaff till I finished my working away as my present for my return.

Right so that's how I ended up with a half complete project.
Project started October 2013
If your wondering why I took on this hobby its simply because I went offroading with my mate in his sj and I said yes yes yes yes im having one of these babys.
:)

Im Dan by the way :)

First thing I thought of when I got it was mot the beast so I can get her on the road
This proved abit difficult when I saw her as she dint start she had holes in her, tax disk in window said 2006 .

I chucked 1000 quid into her and got it into a garage for the mot work and finish off the engine build.
and that's when it got interesting

first time I took her offroad she was just overheating like mad the gauge was just always at max so I installed a digital temperature sender and put a 200tdi rad from a land rover in. This is perfect but had problems with the turbo intercooler so had to re assign a place as this did not fit. I'll put some photos on of the build.

I took the power steering pump off and instead of having 3 belts I now have 1 running the alternator which I moved up to the top of the engine and had some brackets made.

Ive replaced all fuel lines with braided hose resealed the tank fitted new filters and this has helped just with the running of the veichle.

Ive installed waterproof power box on the rear of my anus and my wiring for lights is now in waterproof sy cable and glanded properly so it wont cut out in water
Inside I have installed a switch panel and wired an electric fan up to the rad at the front ive also got rear lights which light up the surrounded area for reversing in pitch black conditions.
