Hi guys.
My sj does not like water. If I get it so that under the bonnet is wet I will develop a misfire.
If I take the leads off and the coil lead give it a clean and all runs good.
I've seen a few posts where people say they don't need to waterproof the dizzy so wondered if anyone has had this problem...
Cheers guys.

Spray some WD40 over the leads/dizzy cap before you go for a play in deep water and your probably get away with it

There better than most in the wet..

Latex work glove or kitchen marigold over the dizzy. Condom or something similar on the coil.

Very topgear ish but does work.

I had this trouble today I sprayed wd40 on leads and that maby 3 days ago and I went for a drive and mine was missfiring put accelerater all the way down and it has no power it was alright once it was warmed up and dry goes sweet as a nut so I might invest in what jordi says as you never know better safe than sorry

Might actually be worth buying some new HT leads, if they are old then sometimes the insulation breaks down and they arc out if they get wet.
