Not sure what size steel Scottie used something 50x80 with a 3/4mm thick wall would be ok. The important part is to reinforce or sleeve chassis where you weld them on.

I'm not sure of the dimensions but I would sleeve the outside of the chassis with some 3mm thick "U" channel.

Needs welding carefully, if you can wear a face mask / dust mask type with an air filter as the fumes that come off welding to a galvanised chassis are toxic.

Ok Ye just read scotties build he used 5mm thick spreader plate for his front shock torents so I will use 5 or 3mm
Jordi chears also what you mean u shape

Do I need to cut the spreader plate as a shape of a U so it is welded to the chassis in the middle aswell if you understand

Same as in Tom's picture. Instead of just welding a plate to the side of the chassis it will wrap around it, nice and strong
