Afternoon chaps, how easy or difficult is it to replace the windscreen glass ? I was clumsy enough to smash mine by carrying the actually frame and falling over
Many thanks, Eddie

Its really easy... people usually just get a bit of rope, wrap it around the outside edge of the windscreen, then pull the rope through into the car to pull half the seal inside

I just started at one corner and folded the seam into place, moved round 3inches and repeated till the whole thing was in/out. Quite easy, just take your time and be careful!

Fit the seal to the glass.
Lube the seal and the surround with washing up liquid and loop a piece of cable round the seal.
Get a helper to gently push the glass against the surround and pull the loop of cable to flip the seal onto the inside of the surround.

That's what I did. Much easier than I thought it'd be. I "lubed" it with washing up liquid too, to make the seal slippery and go in super easy. Which it did.
Getting it out was difficult (someone had glued it in) but hopefully you won't have that problem.

Got all that to do, again. It's as easy as described. Same method for the back door (if it's a tin top)
