Hi guys, I jacked the front of my SJ413 up and had a good tug on the wheels, there is far too much play in them by the look of it, top/bottom & side to side.......I also had a load of (diff?) oil p*ss out, so what do I need to do, ie which seals do I need, swivel? diff?.......and what about bearings, kingpin? wheel?.......I have seen the diagrams on here but don't know what I'm best getting.......can you get a full seal kit at all, (I got one for my Hilux once which was good)....and where's the best place for stuff like this as I'm having trouble finding anything atm.
Cheers
Lee

Carrying on from our chat on Facebook.
You might be able to remove a few shims from the kingpins to tighten it up a bit but you would need to pull the hub to check the condition of the existing bearings.
You are going to need to remove the whole hub anyway to replace the half shaft seal in the end of the axle as its sounds like its leaking diff oil anyway.
To be honest i woud just do the lot while its all apart.

Nice 1 Dan......I'm on that many FB sites I get confused as to who I'm talking to and didn't realise that was you haha.......I've got new,(well 2nd hand), springs to put on the front so I may as well remove the axle and sort it out while I'm there, so what do I need then:-
Wheel Bearings
Kingpin Bearings?
Half Shaft seals
Swivel Bearings?

The method in the last post is how I do it... just take the covers off the back, remove caliper and steering link then yank the entire hub and shaft out

actually this one is cheaper although it looks the same and is from the same dealer, (says may be subject to customs processing and additional charges though?)

Yeah I would say for £100 thats a bargain... will take AGES to arrive though probably :(
You will probably have to pay 20% on top for import duty
