Fitted my new (second hand) shocks this evening, but when I jacked up the rear axle to see how much they would compress, there is a huge gap between the chassis and the axle, I have never taken bump stops off this sj but am I right in assuming there should be some to stop the shock fully compressing and breaking?

Think it's a nylon disc that some springs have between the leafs. My YJs have got them but I dont think my current lift springs do.

Will standard stops be big enough for a 2" lift and rough country shocks?
