ok i have lifting springs on front and rear of my sammy with transit shocks on back and astra shocks on front i think, i have original shackles on but some times the springs flex too far forward and get stuckon the front, whats the best way to sort this? i had thought maybe make some bumper stops for front or try some different shocks?? gas maybe? any help would be great thanks.

Lifted springs are longer than standard so as the spring goes flat it forces the shackle too far round.

Longer shackles will help but don't go crazy. 20-30mm is about all you want. If your not running extended bump stops these are also a must have to prevent the spring over flexing.

thanks jordi (just found another topic on this too)i did think extending shackles might help but i was trying to avoid this, i know shackles are bad but i have rascal springs on the back with big shackles (probably max for shackles) and lifting springs on the front (i got them cheap) , ride high is about right but if i do this i will be too high at the front, guess i might have to buy some rear springs

Extended bump stops by themselves might be ok.

What lift are the front springs?

Not really. Llama have springs made to order. Try some +50mm bump stops first. That's all I fitted.

sorry just an update sorry been a while been busy, i extended shackles to 100mm it total an used 50mm bumper stops, all seemed fine but still over flexed to the end of my 4x4 journey, when i checked the bump stops when over flexed they was not even touching, so iv added another 50mm to the stops, hopefully this should have solved it,

cheers
