Well here is my winter project. Kawasaki ZZR400.

It does have an MOT but after a thorough test ride today I think she needs stripping down, repair or replace bits as I go and respray the whole bike.

Bad bits...it's a Jap import (but it isn't restricted, just has KPH clocks)...needs new tyres...and fork seals...most of the ally bits are all furry...main beam doesn't work...the tank looks like someone poured brake fluid on it...and so on

Good bits...it was FREE...I have the V5...err, that's it

Free is always good.

I still like 4 wheels and at least half doors.

Big oops a Kawasaki ZXR400!

I love bikes as well as cars Jordi, when she's finished it'll be a sunny day machine only, the occasional blast down a few B roads, and I know a few with no speed cameras. Not that I would ever exceed the national speed limit of course...

Sounds like fun.

One of my mates went to spain for a few weeks touring this year. Looked amazing. Just packed his gear onto his bike and went.

Windsor I had a Z1 too, many moons ago, was a hoot and I wished I'd never sold it, they go for 10k plus now. Saying that this one handles better and is way faster...that's progress for you

Aha! Mine was a 1977 model...twitchy as hell at any speed, handled like an elephant on roller skates and acid, still great fun. Can't wait to get started on this new project.

Don't post a build thread, I may become so envious that I start thinking about getting a bike...

I may of almost pooed myself on one of these a couple of years back.

Im used to motorcross bikes as that's all I ride , my mate had one of these and offerd me a go, I got into 3rd gear after pinning it through 1st and 2nd and stopped and got off it, way too much for me!!!
