Post by MikeMaxo » Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:06 am

Hi Guys.
Are these the right shocks for the rear of my Vit to go with my 2" lift?
Cheers.

No,you want astra or opel, pin top, ring bottom, just ask for astra mk2 saloon, there's only one listed so you can't go wrong really, just fitted them to mine with a 2" lift, its transformed it but the old shocks were the originals and knacked

Thanks.
Got sent this, suggests a 2" lift is not enough for the Astra shocks as they are 355mm compressed compared to 300 of the standard Vit shocks.

The link in the first post *is* the pin/ring type, I've got a set!

The link in the first post shows ring top,pin bottom,so they would have to be fitted upside-down,not good.

Yeah the would be wrong as they work the same way as the land rover ones ring at top and pin at bottom.

I guess if you're going to cut off the pin and put a ring on there so you can fit 'em on an SJ, that doesn't matter - although I suppose you can't do that on a vit...
