Another one

Post by OllieSJ » Thu Aug 29, 2013 2:59 pm

To everyones disappointment i cant seem to stick to one sj ! But this is the new one Good 1.0 4 speed. Needs a new exhaust. She has lots of surface rust and only a few small holes here and there. As some of you know i cant get a job yet so trading sj's always left me with some cash. My current situation is that i have close to £900 to pump into this sj. I but i think to cost of labour will be quite high.

The list is

1. New Wheels ( as cracked)
2. New seats
3. Send it off to get every single bit of rust tacken out and welded + painted to match the current white
4. New radio

She has Tax till november and Mot till some time next year so All 4 bits will be done by 28th December i hope. Oh the deal is with my parents that it has to have a full internal roll cage  so that will be done at the same time as the paint but they are paying for that all in all its the best one i have had so far. I hope i can resist selling it just need to fall in love with it and then blow all my money.

You best keep this one! :thefinger:

Think it's time for you to learn how to fix stuff yourself dude  that will save you a lot of money.

Why not buy yourself a welder with the money and get practicing on scrap bits of metal? http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/tutorial.htm Then once you are happy with your welding you can do it all yourself, you'll have learnt a new skill (that could lead to a job) and can make some money welding for people

Couldn't agree more. With that kinda cash you could invest in the basic every day tools required for maintaining and modding it Ollie.

As much as they get slated get a hanyes manual as it covers the basics and keep an eye out for a Suzuki workshop manual too.

If you send it to a body shop to have it tidied up your £900 won't go very far.

Aslong as you can see the numberplate clearly from the front not getting covered up by anything you will be fine.

Also id be shocked if you aloud to work on at the new school or what ever as i knew my college you couldnt and not even the tutors were aloud.
