You have drilled the gear box out before putting it in?

Top holes need to be drilled out to 12.5mm (i think) and if you are using an adapter plate its worth pulling the bolt sleeves out of the bottom bolt holes before putting it in :)

Think it was just 12mm

Pretty sure its 12mm as thats the size of the drill bit you borrowed of me twiss. Although if you drill it at 12.5mm I dont think it would cause any problem infact the 0.5mm would probably help it for clearance.

I drilled a gearbox the other day with a 1/2" bit and its working great :)
Fortunately the previous occupant of my house left a box of imperial size drill bits in the garage!

Top two holes to 12mm.

I used a conversion plate but if i did it again i wouldn't bother. Just reverse the gearbox studs and use some threaded rod.
