I need to do both crank seals on my zuk and the sump gasket/seal, is it possible to do without removing the whole engine? basically I want to renew all the seals and gaskets on my zuk just so I know that it's done, as it loves to mark its territory..

You can do the front seal without removing the engine but to be honest if I was swapping the gearbox as well i'd just whip the whole engine and box out together, do all the bits, bolt the new box on and throw it back in all together. I can get the engine and box out together in under an hour.

I was trying to make it as easy as possible but I may aswel just use the engine hoist and lift it out and do all the seals and as you say bolt the 5 speed up to it and drop it all back in the zuk..

I would say that is the easiest way to do it, saves rolling around underneath and trying to do stuff without much space
