basically my dad has got a RangeRover classic 300TDI and has had nothing but trouble with it and had paid around £3000 on repairs on it by a garage that is just a bunch of cowboys, supposedly "Specialist" I'm not saying anymore about the garage..
I'm looking at doing a build thread in the "other builds" section and want to know if anyone is interested and that I'm not going to offend anyone with land rover on a suzuki forum lol..
the boot floor is completely shot so there will be some welding and fabrication to be done and a little paintwork too..

Thought rangies like landies had ally panels that just corroded to dust?
Why not bud. Thats what the "other builds" section is for.

Alloy panels bonded to steel body shells. They rust everywhere.
Then you also get electrolytic reaction between the two materials.
Which causes the alloy to rot too.
You can actually unbolt the whole roof of a rangie. I broke one up
Years ago. Lovely looking motor (3.9 v8 vogue)
But the whole sill came off when I tried to remove the plastic trim

think the rangie my dad has is all steel, there are bubblrs on the bodywork where the rust has started underneath the paint, the boot floor is definitly steel as its rotten out in many places, i have started the buld thread so will keep it updated as we start working on it..

I like rangies but would never own one, I've spent too much of my life working on one of my friends one. My dad had an awesome 2 door 3.5 v8 on carbs after his LJ80, it only had one silencer and a side exit exhaust! It was loud
All the outer panels are aluminium, they never did one with steel outer panels.
