If you have pas you don't need a steering damper?

Tbh the standard SJ steering damper isn't fantastic when you put big wheels on, a lot of people run the heavy duty option instead which clamps to your axle and drag rod, the heavy duty option is this...

Although I have a pro comp one which is exactly the same,

In most cases though when a PAS conversion is carried out the damper is ditched anyway as the PAS is enough to keep the steering from wobbling

It is I agree but I have noticed the difference when driving over bumps potholes etc so really I would prefer it back on I'm sure someone has done it before?

I modified a procomp steering damper and fitted a rose joint, keeps the damper up high out of the way of damage as well. I don't really like those mounting kits that clamp to the axle, the steering damper looks too vulnerable to damage being mounted down there.
