Hello,
Does anyone know which way round the vacuum delay valve on the distributor should go? mine is green and white and i cant tell by sucking on it as it is hard to suck in either direction:( some pople on the internet say you dont need it but i have tried running without and the car drives rubish.
Thankyou for your help.
Joe

Use a timing light, the timing should advance as its revved.

it sits in line of the pipe that comes of the vacuum advance. im not sure if it matters now though. thought it was a one way valve but ive tried it both ways round and it doesnt make a difference.

I'll be honest, mine hasn't got one, and I don't think it ever has? Have you got a photo of it? It sounds like the one way valve on the petrol tank....... And mine was like this it was supposed to be directional but I could blow through both ways
