Hi all, opinions welcome!

Looking to change the original Dueller 684's for something that will handle light off road (mainly slightly hilly fields on grass) and be OK in the snow. I know neither of the above are winter tyres so it will be a bit of a compromise as I don't want to faff about changing tyres every six months.

Any other tyres worth looking at from your experience?

Cheers all, Jean

BFG A/T all the way. Although i would buy a budget / retread with that pattern.

I have a set of colway ATs same tread pattern. Superb tyre on and off road.

Another vote for bfg or same style tread. My mate had them on his series and I was surprised where he could go with them etc!

When i first bought my SJ it has 195 colways on it. And i was well impressed.

Fitted same tyre in 31s to my Samurai and when bland rovers on insa turbo struggled to get out of ruts mine just climbed out. They are a very versatile tyre for basic off roading and laning. Very good road manners too.

Not up to much in very thick claggy mud/clay. Surprising again how well they go in snow/ice and wet rocks.

Sure someone will have the opposite opinion. Just giving my experience with them.

Went through this no bother. And it was deceptively boggy. The disco on other type A/Ts turned around here.

Another vote for BFG. I have had ATs before but have run BFG MTs on SJs and on one of my Vitaras. Great tyre with amazing off road capability and really quite good on the road - bit noisy but handling is fine at Suzuki speeds... Given the choice I'd go for BFG Muds...which is why i bought a set for my SJ just a few weeks ago!!

Thanks guys, Looks like I will go for the BFG A/T then. So can I turn five Duelers 684 II with 600 miles of usage into flowerpots

I'm sure someone would buy them.
