Swear this has been told to you before. Just take the motor to the mot centre and bingo thats it dont need tax just need insurance if someone is driving it there ie not you. Some garages ask for your log book to check things but everthing is done over the computer so you just need the motor and thats it plain simple.

If you trailer the vehicle to the test centre then you don't, it needs to be insured if you want to drive to the mot though.

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! But alsong your going to the mot test like if its booked for 2:30pm and you have left your house in it at 7:30am and you live 3 mins from the mot centre then the old bill can pull you for having no mot.

Does his insurance cover driving vehicles that are not actually insured? Some policies require that the vehicle that is being driven is insured to be covered 3rd party by his policy.
