After Sundays escapades on the ridgeway, and getting stuck twice, I was the one in the vitara! (thanks for the tow Scottie) I went and brought this from a real nice guy in clevedon! Anyone recognise it? Passed on info of scuk so hopefully another new member! its Had a full engine, gearbox and front axle rebuild, body is a bit tatty but not as bad as what I thought it might of been! Years M.O.T and 6 months Tax, Drove it back along the m5/m4 and WOW that was bloody scary!
Its got and su carb which i think is running way to rich as there is a strong smell of petrol and a big flat spot in 1st and 2nd gear? any suggestions?
And also getting a soaking wet drivers foot which I presume is leaking in from behind the dash, possible windscreen needs sealing?
So here's a Few pics will get more when it stops pissing down and blowing a gale!
What do you guys think? No more getting stuck!
Oh and the vitara is up for sale if anyones interested?

Ha ha. The bug has really bitten then.
This video shows how to adjust the carb.
Before starting I would check it has the correct needle and spring.
Info in the first post and there is a little guide I wrote further down
Thanks dan yeh I'd say the bug has well and truly taken hold! Well that and a very understanding wife, I've been told I can't have three suzukis so it's an obvious choice reall to get rid of the vitara! Info on the carb appreciated as that's the first thing to get sorted! Otherwise ill be giving you a shout again!

With the leak in the footwell...
inside the engine bay there are 2 right angle bend hoses coming out of bulkhead, to the left and right of the engine
something up them and check that they aren't full of leaves and crap... they are the drain for the scuttle pan under the windscreen and if it overflows it seems to drip right on your foot! lol
