Personally I wouldn't run more than 30-40mm, wheel spacers put more strain on your wheel bearings and running ones that are 3" long will reduce the life of the wheel bearings quite a lot.

3"?
Never even heard of 3". Biggest i've heard of are 50mm (2" approx). As Scott says most run 30mm with a good off set wheel.

I was going to get 50mm wheel spacers for my discovery but there just to ott to be honest then as Scott says they can lead wheel bearing failures etc. Also my dads friend's disco snapped its stub axle on a roundabout.

Plenty of wheel to choose from. All depends what size tyres you want to fit.

How do you figure more lift?
Only thing that gives more lift is bigger tyres.
What size do you want to fit?
