At 19 its your last chance to go for an apprenticeship really.

I went through one with a big company after already going to college off my own back which increased my chances of getting it. At the end you end up with a secure job with a proper employer.

I would get on with applying for one with any big company that does work that your already gained skills lean towards. You will do well in the selection process if you can prove you already have good knowledge.

All the major utility companys are a good start (Water, Waste water, Gas, Electricity) also Network rail or pretty much any other big company you can think of. I've already worked for the local electricity distributor and now waster water reatment company and the training and further development options are brilliant.

I'm sure others on here that have done the same will agree its a great way to find a solid career.

i know they always need people in kettering branch and will train you up on the truck and agri tyres if you need it, i got my c+g truck, agri and road side from them.
not the best money but if you need a job might be worth a try

I'm with Dan, apprenticeships are fantastic, I got myself on a government backed scheme when I left school, from there I went to the steelworks where I finished my apprenticeship, then a year or so out of my time I moved to a power station, I think I'm on a pretty good number now!
