steering on a sammy

hi .. ive got a knock coming up through the steering column every time i go over a bump ..... if i go slow then move the wheel left to right it has the knock .. so would it be a worn uj ?? if so has any one got one column or uj or know where to get one???

ZUKZUK,, ive got the complete steering asembly of a sj, comprises of,
coloum, steering box, pitman(drop arm),, drag link,, link arm,,.
let me know what you need,,

the only part i need i think is the column as when i move the column it moves at the spline piece ive tried to tighten the nut but it wont move...

the nut your doing up is a locating nut there is a small groove in the spline where the nut/bolt goes to keep it together
its not a tight/loose bolt, the play/knocking you are having is most probably the steering box there is a nut and a flat head screw loosen the nut do the screw up an then tighten the nut again should solve your problem oh its on top can't miss it
