Hi Guys, we are new to this site, and to owning an SJ, but we are LOVING our new beast, and have got a place in the Mongol Rally 09.

In order to take part in this we need sponsorship from as many people as possible to get the SJ there. So, if you know of anyone who can get us a roof rack, Jerry Cans, Tow Rope, Foot Pump, Jack, Spare wheel etc... your help will be much appreciated!

The trip is UK to Mongolia and back in 6 weeks, 20,000 miles.

We are offering our sponsors their logo and name on our website, and our car, and offering to appear in any publicity they have for their company.

Where in the country are you because i have a couple of spare wheels/tyres lying around if your not too far away from Bath?

We are actually based in London, but my parents live near salisbury, so its not a problem for us to travel at all! It would be great to get some spare wheels.

No worries just to check what size tyres are you running? if they are the correct size your welcome to come and collect them for free. and is it a 410, a 413 or a samurai you've got, as i have loads of spares for 410s available if its a 410.

we are running 205/70 SR15 's if that means anything to you?!

they are on a 413 not a 410 though unfortunately so the spares would probably not fit much. but thanks for the offer on those. We'll def take you up on the wheels though if they are the right size!

here she is. We have some modifications to make, roof rack, bits and bobs, hopefully some more stickers from sponsors, although we dont have any yet! if anyone knows of a company that would be willing!!

UK, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, Back through Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and back to the UK! Approx 20k miles.

should be a dream!.....

lookin good. When is the rally?

We leave from Goodwood Race track on 18th this July. Hope to get to Mongolia in about six weeks, and back to england (through russia so it'll mostly be motorways! back) in two weeks.

a couple of my mates did the rally a few years ago in a mini and it sounded like a good crack.

I thought people left the cars in mongolia at the end of the rally and flew home.
