So my Black 410 is for sale and a guy came round yesterday to have a look as it on ebay. He then asked if it was a 5 speed i quickly replyed it wasnt, he them hummed and said well i had it in a gear that looked like 5 down the road. But how do i check this thanks.

Sit in it with engine off and go through the gears

Where 5th is you will have to apply some extra pressure to get there as there is the springloaded mechanism for reverse.

Go from 3rd and see if it moves through that area to 5th.
