Spring lift will give more clearance if you are bellying out.

Body lift only provides actual lift when combined with bigger tyres.

As Dan says if its bottoming out the only thing that will make any difference is bigger tyres.

You can fit lift springs or spacers to a vit. Body lift is only neccessary (imo) when you go to much bigger tyres.

Better to save and do the suspension first. Depending on what size tyre you want to fit. If you ask about some of the vit owners will tell you the best option depending on the tyres you want to fit and how big can be fitted without a lift

I think a vitara would be one of the few 4x4s that I would actually go for a body lift and bigger tyres before doing the suspension just for the fact that the front shafts don't really like much lift, then again would be good to see a nice virtual lift done on a vit.
