hey,

recently bough a 1987 SJ410 and it came with bullbars but no bolts. Is it ok to use regular bolts when attaching or do they need to be more specific like a u-bolt with a plate?

pic of sj with the bolts previously attached, included

Any advice would be great!

Cheers

Bull bars attach using an 'L' shapped bracked with two bolts through the end of the chassis legs. I think they are M10s but its a while since i had one on. The bull bar then bolts to these using another two thicker bolts either side.

Bulls bars offer mild protection but are NOT strong enough to be used for recovery with out additional strengthening.
