Yeah, due to the construction of the webber when you go up steep hills all the petrol runs to the back of the carb and it starves itself. Fairly sure the original carbs have the same problem.
A lot of lads on here run SUs, this is where i found out about the conversion and soon all 3 of mine will have SUs on.
I have no idea about fitting turbos though.

to the club.
Farmerben put a turbo on his 413, he made his own manifold. Have a little read through his thread

What parts are you after? Put a list up and i'm sure someone on here will be able to help you

when fitting a turbo u have to take into consideration the extra pressure on the engine. ive seen some people use thicker head gaskets to lower the compression ratio. but it'll be worth looking into as the last thing you wanna do is put all that time and effort in and have it go pop.
not sayin it cant be done. it can, and ive seen one. and it went like a rat up a drain pipe! lol
deffo worth doin as long as its done properly

I'd suggest a rockwatt inlet manifold then. Especially if you're thinking of a turbo conversion. The elbow adapters mean you have to cut a hole in the bonnet for the carb to stick through.
