I've got a hard top and use mine a lot for green laning and often take my kids. Being so small and dated there's not a lot of storage for tools etc. I've made a box up that I've bolted to the inside of the rear door that I keep strops in and whatever else I can fit in it but other than that I find if the kids or me have a bottle of drink or something they always end up on the floor swimming in mud. Have you guys done anything? I've heard of the old shogun door pockets but never got hold of any.

I have a my little pony that dangles from the dashboard.....

I've also wired in some speakers from a high spec Discovery ES. Believe it or not Land Rover actually put some pretty high end speakers in the top spec models. I've got them hooked up to an amplifier that I was given by my Dad. He insists it was £140 new. That's then get a 3.5mm audio jack input (standard headphone jack for an MP3). So I get some decent tunage from just two little speakers.

I also got some rear seatbelts from the boot of the same Discovery I took the speakers from.

Oh and I put a bit of carpet in the glove box. I couldn't stand the stuff rattling in there.

Bucket seats. Glovebox is full of multi-lube (WD40 knock off, but way better), strops and shackles behind drivers seat. Jerry can of fuel behind passenger seat.

Stereo is going the journey. Compulsory CB. Fitting speakers somewhere and just gonna wite them direct to a 3.5mm jack plug to go ito my iphone. Thinks that what Ed has done too.

I know what you mean. My disco had loads of pockets for storage. I really think I am going to miss my cup holders.

At least there are 2 glove boxes.

I have a screen mounted phone older, so that is out of the way. The lighter socket is a bit disappointing, as most of my gadgets plugs won't stay in. Luckily I have a splitter that fits. I think I will end up replacing it.

I saw some generic centre consoles on easy for about £15. Maybe i will try one of those sometime.

I'd put an amplifier in if I were you. Wiring speakers direct to your iPhone will make them very quiet AND might blow your phone's audio output if the speakers draw too much current.

The amp I've got was dead simple to wire in. Just power, ground, ignition, left speaker + and -, right speaker + and - and then a phono to 3.5 input cable that I bought from a music shop.

I'll unbolt the amp from the underside of the dash and show you what I've got when you're up at Scunthorpe. ;)

Sound mate.

At least like that all id have would be one wire from the amp to the phone and a phone charger.

The stereo is knackered and i don't see the point in fitting a new one when i can do it that way.

Yeah the zukes are a nightmare to fit anything in. Because I fitted the Isuzu engine and vauxhall gearbox you have to shorten all the gear linkage wich throws the gear lever forward more, witch in turn makes you punch the stereo every time I select 1st 3rd and 5th so I had to move the stereo. I ended up cutting a hole in the dash above the glovebox and mounting it there witch makes it impossible to see what station is on but I've lived with it so long now I'm used to it. I then had to find somewhere to mount the cb so I mounted that on the top of the dash in the center. I'd love some cup holders lol. I'm not to bothered about amps n stuff coz I only use mine on the odd weekend for green laning.
