They did but they are very very very rare and I'm not sure how many there are in the UK if any?? there's a LWB on eBay at the moment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-SUZUKI-S ... 27ce862e5d

Carry's are tiny inside, I can imagine it being quite a challenge to convert it into something that is comfortable to sleep and camp in.

Have a look at Subaru sumo vans, pretty much the same and they are available in 4wd but probably just as hard to find.

although the photos of that LWB are from 2008 so could be in a worse state now. (or better, u never know)

Yeh i thought it be rare. Ive seen some sumo's look a little smaller than the carrys(modern ones)

Yeh ive seen that one looks bit tatty. But thats just a photo.

Is there any way of converting say a 2005 carry to 4x4?

Or maybe he just hasn't changed the date on his camera

it does need some tidying up but it doesn't look too bad, it would be best to see it in the flesh before bidding though ;)

The problem with converting a carry to 4x4 etc. would probably be finding the parts to do so, they are probably just as rare as the vans themselves, fitting a sj transfer box wouldn't be too hard etc but it's the front wheel drive part of the system that might be awkward to either find or make.

The good thing is they make the suzuki carrys 4x4 in japan so parts wont be hard to get.

I am going to be looking into importing
A suzuki carry 4x4 from japan. Might be easyer than converting.

Man its expensive to import. Would cost £2800 to ship and register and duty tax OTR that doesnt include cost of vehicle.

Is the chassis on a modern jimny the same as say a 2003 onwards suzuki carry van?

Was thinking if i could put the carry body on the jimny chassis.
