Please verify this engine

8 valve or 16 valve? The whole intake pipe has confused me. To me it looks like a carb. But its all just a jumble of pipes and bits.

Thanks
Jordi

Looks like an 8 valve carb to me.

Edit: 1996 will be fuel injected, but it's an 8 valve.

There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Answers i can live with. Asked if he just wants to sell engine see if i can get a bargain.

PMd rockwatt about doing my manifolds and rocklobster in february. That could all tie in nicely.

Some engine prices are crazy. Made some phone calls and enquries earlier anywhere from £50 pretty much for a block to £800. Seriously. I got quoted £800 for a 1.6 carb'd engine!

Thanks for the help

Of all the places i've tried cheapest for a transplant motor has been £250 but that was mile away, was £300 delivered. Out of all the yards need to me i've spoke to 5/6 and found one for £350.

Hoping that ebay seller gets back to me. Atleast from what i've read on here SPI is easy enough to convert to SU. All i need to a fuel pump apparently?
